Are you interested in queer films?

Would you like to be involved in deciding which queer films are shown at
Filmhouse?

Come along to our new community programming group, a collaboration
between Filmhouse, Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive, and Programmed
with Pride.

Filmhouse is an independent cinema in the heart of Edinburgh, celebrating the
magic of cinema in all its forms. Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive collect
and conserve LGBTQ+ books, preserve queer history, and provide a space for
the community. Originally established in 2018, Programmed With Pride is a
volunteer-run group of young film lovers based in Edinburgh who are
passionate about LGBTQ+ stories in cinema and bringing them to the
community through hosting and programming events.

We will meet quarterly to discuss all things queer cinema and decide which
films we would like to show in the recently reopened Filmhouse on Lothian
Road.

We welcome LGBTQ+ people over the age of 18 to join us on Tuesday 5th
August, between 6pm to 8pm at Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive,
Edinburgh Palette, 151 London Road.

The group is free to attend.
Booking in advance is essential as places are limited, and if you are unable to
attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to
someone else.
