Queer Books Archive
Doors at 6pm, Workshop 6.30-7.30pm
Join Typewronger’s writer-in-residence Éadaoín Lynch (they/them) for a practice-based poetry workshop in (and inspired by) the Lavender Menace archive!
You’ll have the chance to interact with unique archvial materials, plus built-in time and prompts to write with. No experience necessary, just bring a notepad or a laptop, whichever you prefer. There’s no expectation to share work aloud (unless you want to).
Supported by Scottish Book Trust’s Live Literature programme.
About Éadaoín Lynch
Éadaoín Lynch is an Irish poet & researcher living and working in Edinburgh. Their debut pamphlet, Fierce Scrow, launched with Nine Pens Press in 2022. From December 2024-May 2025, they are a writer-in-residence with Typewronger Books, creating original poems in response to materials from the Lavender Menace Archive.
In 2024-5, they are also project mentor on the ACE-funded Eff-able Anthology, co-edited by JP Seabright and George Parker. Eff-able is a project in two parts – an anthology of poetry from the best contemporary poets identifying as queer and disabled, and a touring showcase of this work.
